Since its establishment WSF has strongly focused on the growing of chrysanthemums.
The selection of varieties is being determined by consumer preferences, growing ability, competitiveness and quality. Consumer panels are performed regularly in close cooperation with breeders, packers and retail organisations. Further, specific preferences determined by the change of seasons, specific events (such as Mothers Day and Valentines Day), and the development of taste, colour and image are taken into account.
